Krav Maga Institute NYC (“KMI,” “we,” “us”) operates a martial arts and self-defense school with locations in TriBeCa and on the Upper West Side, New York City. Our website is kravmagainstitutenyc.com.
What information we collect
We collect information you give us directly:
- Name, email address, and phone number when you submit an enquiry form or sign up for a class
- Payment information when you purchase a membership or class, processed by Momence. We do not store card details ourselves
- Communications you send us by email or through our contact forms
We also collect limited information automatically when you visit our site:
- Pages visited, time spent, and general location (city/region level)
- Device type and browser
- Referring website

How we use your information
- To process bookings, memberships, and payments
- To send class confirmations, schedule updates, and information you requested

Who we share information with
We share data only with service providers who help us operate:
- Momence, our class scheduling and membership platform. Momence stores member records, processes payments, and sends booking confirmations.
- Google Analytics, anonymised website traffic data
- Email service providers, for delivering messages you have requested
All providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our students and staff.
How long we keep your data
We keep your contact and booking records for as long as you are an active student and for up to three years after your last class, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, for financial records).
Your rights
New York residents: Under the NY SHIELD Act, you have the right to be notified in the event of a data breach affecting your information.
California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EU/UK residents: Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. Our lawful basis for processing is contract performance (bookings), legitimate interests (website analytics), and consent (marketing emails).

Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Payment data is handled entirely by Momence and is not stored on our systems.
Children
Our website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent. Parents or guardians who believe a child has submitted information without consent should contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance.
